Choosing a Flower Wall That Fits Your Brand

Posted by Starlight Flower Walls on

A flower wall is a permanent piece of your interior, and it will appear in the background of thousands of photographs of your business. That makes the colour choice a branding decision, not a decorating one.

Here's how to choose a wall that looks like it belongs to your venue rather than one that looks bought.

Start with the palette you already have

Look at your existing materials before you look at flowers: the wood tone of your tables, your upholstery, your signage, the colours in your logo. The wall should sit inside that palette, not fight it.

A quick test — photograph the wall space on your phone, then hold a product image next to it on screen. If the two clash there, they will clash in the room.

Matching style to venue type

  • Hotels and fine dining: ivory, blush and foliage. Restrained palettes read as expensive and won't date. They also work across every kind of event you might host.
  • Bars, salons and studios: stronger colour. Hot pink and bold tones photograph well under artificial light and give you a recognisable signature.
  • Cafes, garden rooms and daytime venues: greenery and tropical foliage. It reads as fresh rather than formal and suits natural light.
  • Wedding and event venues: neutral. You are the backdrop to someone else's colour scheme, so ivory and soft pink give couples the most to work with.

Think about how long you want it to last

Trend-led colours will look current for a season and dated for years afterwards. If the wall is going into a permanent, prominent position, the safer choice is usually the more neutral one — you can layer seasonal colour in front of it with flowers, signage or lighting, but you can't easily undo a wall that no longer suits the room.

If you want something bolder, consider putting it somewhere you can change more easily: a private function room, a corridor, or a wall mounted on a stand rather than fixed.

Consistency is what makes it branding

The value compounds when the same wall appears in your website photography, your social posts, your Google listing and your guests' photos. Over time people start to recognise the venue from the backdrop alone. That only happens if you leave it in place and use it consistently — which is another argument for choosing something you'll still like in three years.

Sizing and next steps

All our walls are built from individual 60cm x 40cm panels, so you order the number that fits your space rather than a fixed size. A standard 8ft x 8ft wall takes 24 panels.

If you're not sure which palette suits your space, send us a photo of the wall and we'll tell you what we think will work.
